Ocean Star ' Til the End of Time '

Star Ocean is a great game. The story was semi-excellent it was cool how a typical medieval setting for role-playing game was mixed with a futuristic setting. Adding a voice to each character was a good add on, it gave more of a personality to the characters. In doing so it took away the imaginative part of all rpg’s. In most rpg’s you reading 75 percent of the time, our imagination decides each of the persons personality. The main characters lacked depth, little is known about their past. The characters basically cannot carry over or stay in our minds, like Cloud or Squall. Overall it is a great game. The only feature I do not like is that you cannot skip movies.

Final fantasy IX was a great game, but not good enough to end the series for the Playstation 1. In my opinion Final fantasy VII and VIII had better story plots. The main characters and the rest were all memorable. Like Could from part VII looked so cool with his big sword and Squall from part VIII and his gunblade, now that is cool. Do not forget the best bad guy from any game in history Sephiroth. I do not even recall the name of the main character from part IX. Who would want to be a hero that looks like a kid.. who has a tail....and his main weapon are tiny daggers. The story was great, but it lacked the merorable characters that are present in all Final Fantasy games.

Final Fantasy XII looks like it is going to be a memorable game. It is going to be a great way to end the series for the Playstaion 2. I can not wait to play the game and see what it is all about. The story looks interesting and there is a war going on, which for me is a bonus. The only bad thing I see is that it seems the game will not have a main character, all the character will be threated equally. Im not sure if it will be that way, so hopefully it will not. I want to have a main character that will be cool.
